This is not just applicable to the creatives amongst us - they are not some alien race infiltrating society - but rather to all.

A collective consensus that something is 'beautiful' does not mean that you, by default, have to find it also so.

Aesthetic patriotism is a very sad phenomena indeed and should be avoided. Open your own eyes and don't close those of others.
