There is no Thought without Words...

No Words without Sounds. No Sounds without Breath.

The best way to govern and/or to hold the upper hand is to keep your audience/the populace ignorant. What better way to do that than to keep them vulnerable, impoverished, sick and under-educated.

You can then blame them for their 'laziness' (or 'feral' nature depending on the television network), 'inflexibility' and how they naively don't 'move on', 'get over it' or otherwise forget your neglect.

The inherent feelings of guilt feed into an ongoing sense of worthlessness. This can then be freely transferred from generation to generation.... a self-feeding monster.

As an added bonus, the 'creation' of the monster is forgotten and only it's teeth become important to discourse in the general populus.

Not an easy issue to resolve but one that deserves more attention than populist politics and bombastic rhetoric.
