A smattering of old thoughts...

I was scratching around for an old answering machine message I left 10 years ago (more about that later) and got lost in some old words I'd sketched at the time...

April 30, 2003 - 'Orange'
"Your yellowness is the cowardly way you aggressively rebuke any attempts on your throne or to give an inch to anyone in anything. It is your stained mouth and your foul breath. It’s your pasty skin and it’s cold wetness.

The yellow is tinged slightly green like putrid water from an impure source. The drinking could kill you … but when someone’s thirsty enough they’ll drink almost anything."

"That’s very loving of you."

"Thanks. I’ll call you the ‘Orange Boy’ from now on. A whore for sportsmen."

April 13, 2003
Your ability to describe moments is neither required nor desired.

September 15, 2002 - 'Present'
He who has the knowledge can be a cog in the machine and can participate in the fulfillment of the narrative. The machine defines and redefines our existence, allocates virtual authority, ethical qualities and determines what is beautiful.

Those outside the machine have only the ability to believe.

The individual - providing he/she is qualified - can affect change from within the machine but is limited by developments in language and science.

He/she can (re)define subjective points of view and submit them to the machine for approval as tenets. These are considered conditionally.

September 15, 2002 - 'Future'
He/she who is strong is he/she who can redefine him/herself and amputate the unnecessary.

Language will fragment itself so extensively that we can only communicate through machines.

That which defines our person is only limited by our commitment and our willingness to sacrifice our 'greeds'.

There are only copies.

November 30, 2001 - 'The Weak'
"Language is the key to creativity,
Words are the key(s) to thought,
The wordless are weak & lost,
The machine ignores the weak."
