More and more I find myself being completely inept in social situations. I seem to become completely inarticulate and struggle to string a cohesive set of words together.
This especially so when it comes to speaking about my art work. I have a very clear picture in my head and on paper what my work is about and can place it in context without issue. Put someone in front of me - or worse a few someones - and I lose all my threads and logic.
Add to that mix the usual problems with 'small talk' and I almost pull up lame in a conversation, holding my leg, admitting my failings.... 'old war injury.... you understand.'
This is problematic in that it devalues the work... so.... anyone want a job as a 'surrogate' me!?
