I've been thinking - as they say 'of late' - about applying for a residency and have come to the conclusion that it's too 'risky' at the moment.
Like many people, a portion of my income (basically the funding for both of our practices) comes from casual- and self-employment. It wouldn't be a matter of taking 'extended leave' ... essentially... not working, not being paid.
The problem comes should I turn off all taps for 2-3 months on the 'hope' that when I got back the plumber wouldn't have been in ... and moved (or even removed) the taps without us knowing.
